Cybercrime is a crime that involves the use of computers to harass innocent people. It can be used as a threat to people, companies, nations. Cybercrime is of many types, they are:

This crime involves the sending of emails that have fake job and salary offers. They convince you to reveal your personal information. One has to be very careful here.

Identity Theft

This crime involves the misuse of one's identity. A hacker or cracker steals the personal information of a person and uses it to transact money and commit crimes in the name of that person. Therefore, Do not post or share anything personal on the sites you cannot trust.

Sexting

Sexting is a very big crime as the hacker sends sexual messages and harassments. The victim has to listen to the hacker or he/she has to face consequences.

   

                                                Spreading hate and terrorism

Hackers and ignorant people spread rumours and wrong things about a particular person, group or community. This creates hatred among people. One should know the right information before spreading it.
